Essays 1-03a: Language Learning stories

I will introduce about my English skill. Ten years ago, I didn't know about English as well. I don't know alphabet, English sentence, word as well ,but I had listened to orphan's songs. Also, I imitated what my father said in English ,and I talked ALT. Then, I wasn't interested in English, but after 2 years ago, I became to like English.

Now, I can understand a little English, I know a lot of word, I can speak English, and I can a little listen to English. Compare what I was, I can become to understand about English. However, I'm not satisfied my skill. I want to up my skill. I think my pronunciation is bad. I should hear more English, and imitate like CD.  Also, my listening skill is no good. I can't understand native talk. What's more, I don't understand structure all. I don't used to read long English sentence.

I want to go abroad to study other country, culture, habit, how to think. Therefore, I study TOEFL every day for 15 minute. I have said “ I want to go America" since 1 year student, but I can't get score. If I can go there, my English skill is more good.

Ten years later, I think my English skill descend because I won’t use English in the future. However, I will be able to teach junior high school student to English.

I tell about my Golden Week. I had service industry for the first time. At first, I was very nervous because I have never experience it, also I heard my friend that it is very hard, senior is very strict, and guests complain about dishes,  attitude. However, my senior was very kind, and they never were angry when I had mistake. Also, they always smile. When I had mistake, a guest was a little angry. I was sad, and I apologized about my behavior. I think everything is studying. And I didn’t forget gratitude. When I was happy, I ate dishes which guest didn’t eat. The store is famous sushi , and I ate it, and it is very delicious. I can’t forget taste.

Second days, I accustomed a little to behave, how to convey dishes, to lay out dishes. Also, seniors remembered my name, and they called Mika chan. I felt I was reliable them. However, I think it was manual labor. For example, I carried heavy desk, heavy chair, convey dishes. Particularly, it was difficult for me to carry vessel with shouyu because when I conveyed it, it adhere syouyu my finger. I watched for my finger.

Third days, I adapted perfectly. I could talk guests with smiling. I think it was good experience. To challenge is important. I want to challenge various things, and I want to thank to experience various things.

I went to my university this Saturday to take part in English conversation. There are freshman and senior. I was nervous, but I keep smiling. At first, I acted tongue twister. It was very difficult, but I was happy because I had never acted it. Next, I introduced myself. I enjoyed it. I can become friend freshman. I want to take part in next English conversation. After that I went to welcome party. I talked a lot of people. I ate pizza. I thought keeping smile is good. I want to speak English well. I will go English Lounge, and I want to make friends.

My sister is pregnant.

This Thursday, my sister came to my house from Nara because she is pregnant, and she wants to deliver her hometown. Sex is a girl. There are a lot of baby goods in my house. Her stomach is very big. I feel she is just born to.

 She hasn’t named yet. Her father considers hard about it. Her mother wants to name Hinako, but my mother opposite it. She may be born to in June first. However, her mother says she might arrive early. I’m looking forward to seeing her.

 I think she looks like her father because I have heard daughter resembles her father, and son resembles her mother. My loos resemble my mother, but my personality loos like my father. My brother loos like his mother.

 I will become aunt. I’m 19 years old. I don’t want to be aunt because she grows up, and I give her present, and money. I should save money.

 My sister takes a walk every night to lose her weight. Her doctor said if she puts on her weight, her birth may be danger. However, she eats more and more. I worry about her.

 I have never held a baby. I want to hold her, and I plan to give her a book. If she like it, I’m happy.

I went to torityosuzi that Thursday because I want to go shopping. Nowadays, I’m absorbed in collecting things with pink color. I decided to buy a calendar, a bag, a manicure for nail, a pen with pink color.

At first, I went to a stationer to buy a calendar, but there wasn’t favorite one, and I went to tutaya because I think there are pink calendar. However, there weren’t pink ones, so I went back the stationer, and I bought one. Instead, I bought a pen with pink at tutaya.

Next, I went to paruko where sell stylish things but, I found a woman in front of it. I observed her. She wore suit, and her nail was beautiful. She was selling manicure for nail. I stared her, and she spoke to me. She explained about ones. I found one with pink. I bought it. And, she asked me to where I did buy shoes. My shoes was very cute, and when I wore it, my foot tighten muscle. It was very expensive. I explained it to her, and she said she knew. I and she talked about it about 10 minutes.

After that, I entered paruko, but there were favorite bag, so I gave up it, and I went to my house.

I was very happy because I bought what I wanted, and I talked her who I didn’t know. I think I look for favorite bag.

I had part- time job. I worked clam school. I worked tow times every week, Friday and Saturday. I have worked since last year. I like the work because I like children and English. I think working at clam school is good because I can more understand by teaching English. I can not only understand English, but also I warn money. However, I can’t earn a lot of money because hourly pay is good, but time which I can work isn’t so long. My friend earns about 50 thousand yen for a month, but I earn about 30 thousand yen for a month.

However, I want to cease work sometimes. For example, a student doesn’t obey what I say, or a student has written for class, so I’m very tired. Also, my salary is a few.

In June, there will be big event, and it will decide to good lecture. I might participate in it because my boss said me you should take part in it, so I practice by myself. For example, I check finely their notes, and they write date, and page number, or opposition. Also, I dedicate smile because they can be relax and, they ask me question, or they open their heart, and they talk everything.

I’ll try to lecture for students in the future.

Essay 1-01a: Letter to My Host Family

Hello. My name is Mika Susukida. My hobby is going for a stroll with listening to my favorite music because I can relax, or I can clean in my head. Nowadays, there are many beautiful flowers, so I become so happy. I think my personality is very serious, and I’m hard woker, but if I decide to do something, it is difficult for me to maintain it. I like to chat with my friend, but I’m very shy girl. My weak point is to chat with person meeting for the first time. I’m from Kumamoto in Japan. Kumamoto is rich in the natural beauties, and I have clean water. Also, I have delicious food. For example, there are tomato, water melon, and zabon which is a little acid, but taste is good.

I have a family. My father had been an elementary-school principal, but he retired. I think he will go fishing everyday because he loves to fishing. His personality is very diligent, but he is unique. He always says joke.  

My mother is a housewife, but she was a nursery teacher. She resigned her job because she was stressful. Also, her manager didn’t pay salary. She isn’t good at concerning human relation. She tends to be modesty at all, so she can’t let it go in front of other person. Because of it, she wasn’t tenderness, but she is very kind now.

My sisters got marry, and they are pregnant women. They look like happy. My old sister has a good head on her shoulders. She works welfare agency, so she is good at treating old people. My young sister was a nursery teacher. She likes to feel fun, and she is very positive, but she is lavish spender.

My brother is a student, and he studies welfare. He wants to be a care worker. I think he is a good care worker because he likes old people.
